Week 2: Thursday Night

[ Rean may hear a distant knocking, sounding like it's coming from directly across from his room.

And then after a moment, there's a knock on his bedroom door. Open up it's a murderer. ]

[ That sure was a sound, especially after he had returned back to his room.

Rean headed to his door, footsteps as silent as the wind, and despite the way Rean presented himself...he couldn't help but be cautious. As well as on guard. ]

Who's there?

[ Dazai has encountered one rare distrusting Rean Schwarzer in the wild. Though that could be fixed easily. ]

[ He notices it sounds... pretty quiet in there. He could keep up the charade, but he already went through his pain quota of the week. ]

Room check~

[ He isn't disguising his voice, so Rean should know who he is. ]

Do you have anything illegal in there?

Oh, Dazai, it's you.

[ Rean opened the door, looking relieved to see him, tension leaving him so fast it may as well have never been there in the first plan. ]

No, but did you want to come in for awhile?

[ Wow, don't be so defenseless. He'll wiggle his fingers at him. ]

[ He's asking that while heading inside at the invitation. ]

I could be aiming to kill you~

Are you saying that because of your job title? If that's true, I'm not sure what a 'Port Mafia Executive' is even supposed to be, so that doesn't mean anything to me.

[ So, yeah.

Rean's never heard of a 'mafia', despite his travels because lol Kiseki world. Though, there's hitmen, gangs, and the like that do exist in Kiseki world. ]

You really should ask more about people.

[ He'll explain because it's too late to kick him out now. Moving in close to poke Rean in the chest. ]

Maybe I do. It'll give you an idea as to why I'm not popular with some of the others here.

[ Then Rean can back out from whatever this companionship is before it's too late. Helping himself to closing the door, and locking it behind him. ]

[ He gave the other a sheepish look that was definitely 100% Rean. Sorry, he's bad at this. ]

But, I'd really would like to hear it.

[ While Dazai did that, Rean headed back to his bed, waiting patiently for the other's answer. ]

[ Would he really like to hear it? Moving over to the desk to grab the chair. Just going drag it to the door to situate it under the handle. ]

Just in case anyone decides to break in~

[ Then he'll move to the window to make sure it's locked. ]

The Mafia is an organized group of criminals. Gangs, hitmen, thieves, loan sharks... that's what we are.

[ He'll smile a little. ]

I don't hate you just because you're a criminal. After all...I have or had friends who are or were in those sort of positions. If I started judging you now, I think that'd make me hypocritical.

[ A certain friend was a criminal, and so was Sharon, who was part of an actual shadow organization called Ouroboros.

Then, after he gave a pause, Rean's expression softened further. ]

So, I'm happy to work with you, Dazai. As long as we can, since we've no idea what else the Lady may plan for us all, but I hope we will still try our best until the end to foil her plan.

[ He's not sure what he's expecting, but it certainly wasn't this. There's a pause before he laughs. ]

You're so strange.

[ Says the gremlin. Once he's sure the window is secured, he's heading over to Rean's bed to sit down next to him. ]

Don't be so happy to work with me. I may end up murdering someone with the right motivation.

[ Putting his hands behind him as he leans back in the bed. ]

[ The gremlin who can't handle spices. Tee hee. ]

...I know. I think deep down I know for everyone that could be true. But, at the same time, I can't afford to really worry about that, if I did, then...that just means that's all I ever really amounted to in the end.

[ The same thing would apply if he died. ]

I'll face it if or when the time comes. But, for now? I'm happy working together, by your side. So, I'll ask for you to continue bearing with me in the meanwhile.

[ He's a delicate gremlin. ]

That's not a bad way to think.

[ Too bad Dazai can't think that way, but at least it appears like it doesn't bother him in the slightest. ]

What if I'm in here after something instead?

[ Rean would understand if others couldn't. It was a difficult situation, after all. ]

[ There's a wink, or maybe it's a blink because he only has one eye visible. He pauses for a moment, to let it sink in before continuing... ]

[ Omg, Dazai. ]

...I wonder if I should be surprised you're messing around like that or not.

[ He looked embarrassed for a moment there, and he gave the other a nonplussed expression right after, even following the heat leaving his cheeks. ]

[ That's an interesting color on his cheeks.

It just makes him want to tease him some more. ]

Were you hoping otherwise?

...This was why Rean was easy to tease. ]

[ It is. This is why Rean has a harem. ]

[ Is he trying to hide his expression now? ]

[ He'll get a single poke in the cheek. ]

[ Also yes, it was a very convenient way to hide that he was embarrassed again. ]
