Week 5 Sleepover

[ It's the same time and the same place. There are some changes this week. For starters, each mattress now has two mattresses stacked on top. There's an increase amount of pillows (over 12) and there's all the bedding that goes to each. Dazai has also stretched some fabric across the bottom half of the window and nailed it in place.

The other big difference is that they seem to be missing someone... Ango's spot is empty. ]

Check his Closet.
[ Dazai is sitting in the corner, his gaze just locked on the spot where Ango should be sitting, but isn't. There's a loud sigh before he gets up to open his closet. He pulls out a dragon mascot and pulls it over to the corner of the room to set it up in a chair. Just going to make it look like someone is sitting there

Judge him for bringing another mascot in or check his closet out while he's setting it up. He has a bucket with a bag of flour inside, there's water bottles, various tools, rope, and a noose hanging inside of his closet. There's nothing wrong with that. ]

First Trap
[ After patrol and still no sign on Ango, Dazai is going to set up the first trap. He's going to leave the door open partially as he leans a bucket full of flour up on top. ]

Now to wait for him.

[ Yeah, he's waiting for Ango to spring the trap. He seems pretty tense as he watches the door. Might be a good idea to distract him. ]

[ He'll see it.

Then he'll frown. Now's not the time to talk, but he saw it. So he'll stew it away for later. ]

Did Ango say he'll be awhile...?

No. He didn't say anything about being late.

[ Crossing his arms as he stares at the door. ]

He isn't stupid. So he's probably went with someone he actually gets along with...

[ He's already trying to figure out just who Ango would be with on this night of all nights. ]

He didn't? How long should we stay up, then?

[ Just in case they need to go looking for him. ]

I mean, I don't doubt he wouldn't hang out with someone he knows. But just in case.

He's supposed to be here already. That idiot...

[ It's what they did since the beginning. ]

Maybe a little after midnight? You can get some sleep. I can wake you up then.

[ Most killings happen after one in the morning. ]

TRAP

[Some time around midnight-ish, Ango will finally make it back from wherever he has been all this time. He does look a little annoyed when he returns, too.

That gets monumentally worse when he opens the door and gets flour'd. He had thought the door being open meant that he was safe from traps still, but apparently he was wrong.]

DAZAI!

No, I'll be fine.

[ Says the protag who has some darkness underneath his eyes from lack of sleep and constant patrolling. ]

...I won't be able to sleep until I'm sure he's okay, anyway.

[ Binch.

Dazai is over in the corner standing next to... a dragon mascot. He was planning on being a butt to Ango, maybe even kicking him but as soon as he sees him in the dim light... it's like several weights were lifted off of him. ]

Ango!

[ It's the tone of voice usually reserved for when they see each other again at the bar after a few days away. Give him a moment to go gremlin on him. ]

[ He see that touch of darkness under his eyes. Sighing as he looks at Rean, and deciding if everything is fine tomorrow, he's dragging Rean to nap before the trial. ]

Okay. Let's play cards for a bit, then.

[Aww, that's enough to immediately take him out of his sour mood.]

What's this? You're excited to see me?

[ He'll walk over, grabbing an arm to pull him further inside of the room. Then reaching around him to close the door and lock it. Stuck in here now, binch. ]

You're late, idiot.

[ And also calling him out on being excited to see him. Why this ]

[ Oh. That was kind of a little laugh, looking at him covered in flour. ]

...Haha, sorry.

...Poker, then? I'd say Blade or Vantage Masters, but we don't really have a deck here.

[ Sadly. And yeah, god willing things go okay that probably was for the best. ]

[ Snagging the deck of cards to shuffle. Also he may cheat ]

What's Blade of Vantage Masters?

[ Careful, Rean's used to Crow and Ash cheating in card games... ]

How about one of us plays for telling the winner a warm or silly memory?

[ Keeping it light! ]

Blade or Vantage Masters. They're two separate card games.

Basically, they involve knocking the points off your enemy so that you have higher ones and win the game. But they're very involved. I can tell you the rules if you'd like.

[ Time to test Rean's cheater catching skills.

He almost smiles at that. Rean is a pure. ]

Yeah, we can do that.

[ Thinking about the card games. ]

Maybe we'll get the chance to play it. Go ahead and share the rules, while I deal.

[ He doesn't have hope they will get to play it, but... the idea is kind of nice. ]

[Just. Shaking the flour off as best as he can.]

and now I'm going to need a shower...I should probably wait until morning though.

[Because, you know. Murder night and all.]

[Welp. He's yoinked in then.]

I'm not that late. And I told you I was going out for a bit anyway. Rean patrols every Thursday night and you don't give him grief about it.

[ No escape. He stays close for a moment longer before walking over to where Rean is. ]

That's because I go with him when he goes on patrol. [ BUDDY SYSTEM ] You're late. Super late.

[ Usually it's Ango who is on the receiving end of Dazai grabby hands his stuff, but this time it's Rean. Dazai is going to grab for the pocket watch Rean has to pull it out to show Ango just what time it is. ]

[ Rean just kind of reacted, and grabbed Dazai's hand, looking confused.

Oh. He'll look sheepish and let go. This just proved he needed sleep, honestly. But hey, the pocket watch is still out, so. ]

[ Whoops. There's a beat, as he looks at Rean for a moment. Putting a hand on his shoulder to give it a squeeze.

Then the moment is over as he opens the watch to show Ango it's around midnight-ish ]

[Why are you two like this?]

It can't be THAT late, can it? I thought for sure it would be closer to 11:30.

[Someone lost track of the time during a delightful conversation.]

[ Rean needs a nap that's why. ]

Where did you go, anyways?

[ This time, he's wordlessly offering the watch back to Rean before giving him a nudge towards the mattress. ]

[It's not even that late, they can go to bed soon anyway. Ango is still dusting himself off though.]

I went to talk to the Lady. I thought talking to her while she was expecting murder to happen would have better results, but in the end I wasn't able to get anything out of her.
